The 0-100ppm hydrogen peroxide test strip is used to determine residual H2O2 levels down to 1ppm. Peroxide test strips are a plastic strip with a reactive pad on one end. Dip the pad into the solution for 1 second. After 5 seconds compare the color of the pad to the color scale on the bottle. Test strips measure from 0 to 100 parts per million. Hot tubs are kept between 30 to 100 ppm hydrogen peroxide. We have also been advised by one of our customers that using a 5ppm hydrogen peroxide solution is becoming the preferred method for treating koi ponds. |

pH: Acid & Base Hydrogen Peroxide Information |
Test yourself at least ten times, if not more, at different times of the day such as first thing in the morning, 2 hours after meals, etc. If you get an average that is very low (~5.5) or very high (~8.0), consult your physician. Saliva will typically measure around pH 6.3-6.7 but can be greatly affected by what you've eaten (i.e. food stuck between your teeth). For best accuracy, brush and floss after eating and then measure at least an hour later. These high contrast test strips come ~50/pack and are easy to use and read. Note: The number of strips per pack or vial is approximate. Note: If you are mainly interested in food, be sure to visit the U.S. government FDA site for the pH of many different foods. http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~comm/lacf-phs.html |
